Art and Crafts workshops with Catkin Tree Studio
What workshops do you offer?
We currently offer the following types of workshops:
- Seasonal wreath making
- Creative print work on to fabrics and paper
- Creative pompoms
- Taster session - Feltmaking
- Taster session - Sheep to Shawl
Our workshops are currently held at The Gathering Space Cafe's function room (Abingdon-on-Thames). We run workshops in small groups, usually no more than 8 people, to ensure everyone recieves a good level of tuition. Our upcoming workshops schedule can be seen and booked online.
Who are your workshops suitable for?
Our workshops are generally suitable for both complete beginners and those with craft experience. The description of the workshops on each booking page gives more information and will help you decide if it is the right workshop for you. If there is any specific guidance for levels of craft experience needed for any particular workshop, this is clearly set out on the booking page. However, should you need any extra information to help you decide (including requests for group bookings), please feel free to get in touch by emailing hello@catkintreestudio.co.uk.
Please note that currently our workshops are only suitable for Grown-Ups (age 16+). Attendees between 16 and 18 years old are very welcome but must be accompanied by an adult responsible for them, who is also booked on to the course.
Workshop Cancellation Policy
- More than 14 days notice: If you are unable to attend the workshop and can give us 14 or more days notice from the date of the workshop, a full refund will be given.
- Between 14 days to 24 hours notice: If you give us less than 14 days notice, up to 24 hours before the workshop you have booked, you will not be given a refund but you will be able to transfer your booking to another workshop (subject to availability of spaces). If the workshop is more expensive, you will need to pay the difference in price. If the workshop is cheaper we will not issue a refund for the difference.
- Less than 24 hours notice: If you give us less than 24 hours notice, do not attend the workshop without giving notice, or attending a workshop on the day but late, then unfortunately we are not able to provide either a refund for the workshop fees or a transfer to a different workshop date. For late attendance, we will not be able to allow you to make up the time beyond the end of the scheduled session, and you may miss important workshop information which we may not be able to repeat, depending on how late you are.
- If we cancel the workshop: Typically, workshops will only run if there are a minimum of 4 people signed up. If, for any reason we need to cancel a workshop (for example staff sickness or events beyond our control), please accept our sincere apologies. You will either be given a full refund, or the ability to transfer your booking to another workshop of the same value (subject to availability of spaces). For transferred bookings, the notice periods for cancellation above still apply.
